Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough financial analysis of loan applications, including reviewing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assess borrower creditworthiness by analyzing financial ratios, industry trends, and repayment capacity.
- Prepare and maintain detailed credit reports, risk assessments, and recommendation letters for lending committees.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios to identify early warning signs of financial distress.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to ensure accurate and compliant documentation.
- Develop and maintain credit policy guidelines and internal reporting tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, or financial underwriting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of financial ratios, credit scoring models, and lending regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
