Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and market trends to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit risk reports and recommend approval terms or risk mitigations
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning signals for delinquent accounts
- Collaborate with commercial lending teams to structure complex credit facilities
- Develop and maintain automated credit scoring models using Python/SQL
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FIRREA, OCC guidelines)
- Mentor junior analysts and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (MBA/CFA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and financial modeling
- Experience with credit risk platforms (e.g., Moody's Analytics, Fiserv)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement analysis
- Excellent written/verbal communication with stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Remote work experience a plus
