Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial statement analysis and credit risk assessments for commercial and consumer loan applications
- Prepare detailed credit memos and underwriting recommendations with clear risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for early warning signs of delinquency or default
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure optimal financing solutions aligned with client needs
- Stay updated on regulatory changes (FCRA, ECOA) and implement compliance protocols
- Develop financial models to forecast cash flows and assess collateral adequacy
- Maintain accurate documentation in loan origination systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA/CFA preferred)
- 3+ years of credit analysis or commercial underwriting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Financial Modeling)
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and ratio interpretation
- Experience with credit scoring models and risk assessment frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Professional certification (CRCM, CMB) a plus
