Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, market trends, and industry risks to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk mitigation strategies for commercial loan applications
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure tailored financing solutions
- Monitor existing portfolio for compliance and early risk identification
- Stay current on regulatory changes (FIRREA, BSA) and implement best practices
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to process optimization initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and credit software (e.g., Moody's, RiskCalc)
- Strong understanding of SEC filings, GAAP, and loan covenants
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB preferred) or equivalent experience
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts to stakeholders
