Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis of commercial and consumer loan applications to assess creditworthiness
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and risk assessments for loan committee presentations
- Monitor existing portfolios for compliance and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit solutions for diverse clients
- Stay current on regulatory changes (FIRREA, BSA, CFPB) and implement best practices
- Maintain meticulous documentation in lending management systems
- Mentor junior analysts to elevate team performance standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA/CFA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive credit analysis or commercial underwriting experience
- Expertise in financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and ratio interpretation
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, financial modeling)
- Familiarity with credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian) and loan origination software
- Strong analytical thinking with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder presentations
