Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth credit evaluations for commercial and institutional clients, analyzing financial statements, cash flows, and industry risks
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and risk assessments with actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to structure complex financing solutions
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning indicators of potential defaults
- Stay current on regulatory changes (FIRREA, Basel III) and implement compliance protocols
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA/CFA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Expertise in financial modeling, ratio analysis, and cash flow forecasting
- Strong understanding of SEC regulations and banking compliance standards
- Proficiency in credit software (e.g., Moody's Analytics) and advanced Excel skills
- Exceptional written communication skills for producing credit documentation
- Active NMLS license (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
