Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare detailed credit recommendations for commercial and industrial loans up to $5M
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning indicators of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit solutions
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and internal credit policies
- Present findings to credit committees with clear documentation
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for complex credit scenarios
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA/CFA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and credit software (e.g., Moody's Analytics)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and lending regulations
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Proven track record in portfolio risk management
- Experience with SBA lending programs a plus
