Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program that aligns with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards.
- Monitor changes in financial laws and regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant.
- Train staff on compliance policies, procedures, and regulatory updates to foster a culture of integrity.
- Investigate and resolve any compliance violations or concerns reported by employees or stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports to governing bodies as required.
- Collaborate with legal and operations teams to mitigate risk and improve business processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs within the financial services industry.
- Professional certifications such as CFP, CFA, CERA, or CRCM are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of SEC, FINRA, and state securities laws.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex regulatory documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
