Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Process payroll and manage accounts payable/receivable cycles
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks accounting systems
- Collaborate with tax preparers and external auditors
- Lead month-end closing processes and variance analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, macros)
- Proven track record of managing multi-entity accounting systems
- Strong knowledge of sales tax filing and compliance requirements
- Experience with construction or real estate accounting highly valued
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation a plus
