Your Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy in reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger accounting, including month-end and year-end close processes.
- Process and reconcile payroll accurately to ensure weekly payroll runs smoothly.
- Prepare financial statements, variance analysis, and budget reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of annual audits and tax filings.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced weekly payroll environment.
