Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements and compliance reports for Texas-based clients
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks/Advanced Accounting software systems
- Manage sales tax filings and multi-state payroll processing
- Lead month-end closing procedures and variance analysis
- Collaborate with CFOs on strategic financial planning initiatives
- Mentor junior bookkeepers and develop departmental SOPs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years of Texas bookkeeping experience
- CPA or CMA certification preferred (with study stipend provided)
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and Excel/VBA
- Texas sales tax and payroll compliance expertise
- Proven experience managing high-volume transaction cycles
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in hybrid work environment
- Texas CPA license or actively pursuing certification
