As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our clients. You will handle complex reconciliations, financial reporting, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full-cycle bookkeeping process, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and financial reports for clients.
- Process payroll entries and assist with the preparation of W-2s and 1099s.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical filing systems for financial documents.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for small to mid-sized businesses.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to catch errors before they become issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
