Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Handle full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports for management review.
- Payroll: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring all taxes and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Software Management: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to track financial data and generate invoices.
- Compliance: Maintain organized filing systems and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software is mandatory.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy when working with numbers and financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting purposes.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
