Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are accurate and posted in a timely manner.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns, including quarterly estimated payments.
- Maintain and organize financial records, including digital and physical archives.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy standards.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
