Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, handle payments, and ensure timely collection of receivables.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts match financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for the company and clients.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Software Management: Oversee the company's accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero) and troubleshoot any issues.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure high data integrity.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with staff and management.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
