Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare comprehensive financial statements (Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss).
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and processing payments.
- Assist with monthly payroll processing for multiple entities.
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax returns.
- Reconcile credit card statements and identify any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the tax team to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Experience with payroll systems and tax compliance regulations.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
