Responsibilities
- Financial Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure all transactions are accurate and accounted for.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage the full cycle of AP and AR, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and collecting outstanding receivables.
- Payroll Management: Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are posted correctly and in a timely manner.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to streamline financial processes and generate reports.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting role.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is required; Advanced Excel skills are a plus.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; High school diploma with relevant certification (e.g., NACPB) is acceptable.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and tax regulations.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy when handling financial data and documentation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
