Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bank reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, journal entries, and financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and company policies.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring all deductions and withholdings are calculated correctly.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and discrepancies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
