Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and posted in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including verifying invoices, preparing checks, and issuing invoices.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements, trial balances, and year-end audits.
- Monitor and maintain financial controls and documentation in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Process payroll and ensure tax filings are completed correctly and on schedule.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients regarding their financial inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero is required.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
