Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle bookkeeping process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements, credit card accounts, and financial reports with high precision.
- Prepare and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close procedures.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations.
- Process and manage payroll for a small team of 20+ employees accurately and on time.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to maintain organized financial records.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to management to aid in strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar cloud-based accounting platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and tax preparation basics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
