As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in our accounting department, working closely with management to ensure compliance with financial regulations and optimize cash flow. Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations and ensure the accuracy of all financial records.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to identify discrepancies.
- Process and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Assist with monthly and annual payroll processing and tax preparation.
- Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with the CFO to improve financial processes and reporting systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros).
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
