Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll cycles
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements) for client reviews
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and optimize bookkeeping systems using QuickBooks Online
- Collaborate with tax professionals for quarterly filings
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- CPA or Certified Bookkeeper designation preferred
- Proven experience with multi-state compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills for client interactions
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
