Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for 15+ employees
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for executive review
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations for multi-state operations
- Oversee bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing procedures
- Manage QuickBooks Online and implement process improvements for efficiency
- Collaborate with CPA firm during annual audits and tax preparations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience (5+ years)
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience with multi-state payroll processing and sales tax filings
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies and trends
- CPA or QuickBooks certification highly preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
