Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll systems
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) with variance analysis
- Manage bank reconciliations and ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
- Implement and optimize accounting software workflows (QuickBooks Online proficiency required)
- Collaborate with tax professionals to support audit preparation
- Develop custom financial reports for client decision-making
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CMA preferred)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, payroll processing, and sales tax compliance
- Proven ability to manage high-volume transactions with 99.9% accuracy
- Experience with construction, retail, or service industry accounting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial reporting
