Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15+ high-revenue clients using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes with strict attention to aging and reconciliation
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing procedures with external auditors
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls for financial compliance
- Lead tax preparation support and provide strategic financial insights to client stakeholders
- Mentor junior bookkeepers and optimize accounting workflows through automation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience
- CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred with active NC license
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Proven track record managing multi-client portfolios with $10M+ revenue volumes
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, IRS regulations, and North Carolina tax compliance
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to identify financial discrepancies
- Strong communication skills for presenting complex financial data to non-finance leaders
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage) and accounting automation tools
