Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain the general ledger, posting transactions, and preparing adjusting entries as needed.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with the preparation of annual tax returns and government reporting requirements.
- Reconcile credit card statements and bank accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Process payroll accurately and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros preferred).
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and capable of spotting errors before they become issues.
