Responsibilities
- Accounts Management: Manage and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and accurate.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, financial statements, and variance reports.
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll and managing time-off requests within the accounting software.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial records comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
- Software Management: Utilize QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage to track financial data and generate necessary reports.
- Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries and status updates.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax preparation principles.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client/vendor interaction.
- Software: Familiarity with cloud-based accounting platforms is a plus.
