Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Oversee daily accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
- Payroll Administration: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring all withholdings and taxes are calculated correctly.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize QuickBooks and Xero to manage financial data and generate reports.
- Compliance: Ensure all bookkeeping activities comply with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or equivalent professional certification (e.g., NACPB).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Desktop and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
- Software: Familiarity with cloud-based accounting platforms and tax software (e.g., TurboTax, Lacerte).
