Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with GAAP.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bank reconciliations to ensure account balances are correct and discrepancies are resolved.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices are paid on time and customer payments are collected efficiently.
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Assist with payroll processing, tax preparation filings, and government reporting requirements.
- Reconcile credit card statements and manage employee expense reports with high attention to detail.
- Provide financial analysis and support to management to aid in strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of full-time bookkeeping experience in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and staff.
