Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, GL reconciliation, and month-end close
- Prepare financial statements and compliance reports for diverse client portfolios
- Process payroll and tax filings with 100% accuracy
- Implement internal controls and audit procedures
- Collaborate with tax specialists and CFOs on strategic financial planning
- Maintain strict compliance with NY State and federal regulations
- Utilize QuickBooks, SAP, and Oracle for financial data management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Proficiency in GAAP, NY tax codes, and SOX compliance
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
- Proven track record of meeting daily deadlines
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced financial environments
