Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Prepare month-end closing reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes and vendor relationships
- Process payroll for 25+ employees using QuickBooks Online
- Assist with quarterly tax preparations and annual audits
- Implement internal controls to ensure financial compliance
- Train junior bookkeepers on financial software and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and IRS regulations
- Proven experience with multi-entity accounting systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or QuickBooks ProAdvisor) preferred
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
