Responsibilities
- Process Daily Transactions: Accurately record and categorize daily financial entries, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all data is error-free.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and credit card accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Invoice Management: Assist in the processing and tracking of incoming and outgoing invoices to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of basic financial reports and summaries for management review.
- Data Entry & Maintenance: Maintain organized and up-to-date digital and physical records of financial transactions and documentation.
- Assist with Payroll: Support the payroll team by gathering necessary time sheets and payroll data.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: We are looking for recent graduates or career changers with a strong desire to learn accounting principles.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for numbers and the ability to spot errors before they become costly.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Integrity: A high level of professionalism and ethical standards in handling sensitive financial data.
