Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts, including preparing and posting journal entries, and ensuring month-end and year-end close processes are completed accurately and on time.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and verify invoices, manage vendor payments, and ensure all accounts receivable are collected in accordance with company policies.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved immediately.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for clients and internal management.
- Payroll Processing: Manage payroll functions, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and accurate tax filings.
- Compliance & Auditing: Support external and internal audits by providing requested documentation and maintaining organized financial records.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in bookkeeping, general accounting, or a related role.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is required. Experience with Xero or Sage is a plus.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP principles and accounting cycles.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to analyze data, spot errors, and maintain high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
