Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate billing and payments.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, general ledger account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and support the external audit process.
- Process payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Monitor and manage petty cash and expense reports with strict adherence to company policy.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to track financial data and generate reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Pro/Online, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and basic tax preparation.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in financial data.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
