As we continue to expand our services across Illinois and Indiana, we need an expert to manage our financial records and drive strategic decision-making. You will play a pivotal role in our month-end close, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Manage the monthly and annual closing procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare detailed financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports for executive review.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations in Indiana and Illinois.
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Collaborate with the external audit team and provide necessary documentation.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities.
