The Role:
As our Bookkeeper, you will be the backbone of our accounting operations, ensuring that our clients' financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant. You will collaborate with our accountants and clients to provide clarity on financial data.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly and bank reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Process payroll for multiple clients, ensuring tax filings are submitted on time.
- Prepare and maintain general ledgers, journal entries, and financial reports.
- Assist with financial statement preparation for monthly and quarterly reviews.
- Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports.
- Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and account status.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is required; experience with Sage or NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Associate degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or pursuing CPA designation preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
