Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Process payroll accurately and ensure all tax filings are compliant with state and federal regulations.
- Manage fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules.
- Communicate with clients and vendors regarding billing inquiries and financial discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is required; experience with Sage or NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software.
- Associate degree in Accounting or Finance required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
