Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 clients including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for business clients
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal/state tax regulations
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks and Xero accounting systems
- Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly/annual reviews
- Develop financial reports for business decision-making and strategic planning
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for all financial documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks/Xero
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced formula knowledge
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and tax compliance
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, AIPB) highly valued
