Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly and quarterly general ledger accounting and reconciliation tasks.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and within deadlines.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports for management review.
- Support the month-end and year-end close process by compiling necessary data.
- Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies for resolution.
- Assist with tax preparation and audit requests as needed.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a CPA/CPA track).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy when handling financial data and numbers.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is required) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management.
- Integrity: High ethical standards and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot basic accounting discrepancies.
