Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure data accuracy.
- Audit Support: Assist external and internal auditors with requested documentation and processes.
- Budgeting: Support the budgeting process by analyzing financial data and providing insights.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure all tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational efficiency within the finance department.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software; advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex financial data and produce clear reports.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on detail with the ability to spot discrepancies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of US tax laws and financial regulations.
