Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations for 15-20 high-value client portfolios including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and KPI reports with executive-level insights
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring GAAP compliance and audit readiness
- Implement and optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks Enterprise, NetSuite) for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure accurate quarterly tax filings and strategic tax planning
- Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce reporting timelines by 20%+ annually
- Mentor junior accounting staff and conduct quarterly training sessions on accounting best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience with high-volume portfolios or multi-entity structures
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven track record of managing month-end closing cycles within tight deadlines
- Expertise in reconciling complex accounts including intercompany transactions and multi-currency operations
- Familiarity with sales tax regulations (WA state) and payroll processing (ADP/Workday)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or QuickBooks ProAdvisor) strongly preferred
