Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements, tax returns, and credit applications to assess borrower creditworthiness.
- Prepare and maintain accurate credit memos, risk assessments, and repayment schedules for new and existing loans.
- Monitor market trends and economic indicators specific to the DC metropolitan area to inform lending decisions.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and underwriters to resolve complex credit issues and improve portfolio quality.
- Utilize advanced Excel models to forecast cash flows and project financial performance.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal policies and federal banking regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex findings clearly.
