Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and ensure timely payment processing
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for multi-state operations
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets
- Collaborate with auditors during financial reviews and tax preparations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights
- Utilize QuickBooks and advanced accounting software for transaction processing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in California or similar markets
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and multi-state compliance
- Proven ability to manage complex financial cycles and reporting deadlines
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to numerical accuracy
- Strong communication skills for client/stakeholder interactions
- Experience with forensic accounting and internal controls implementation
