Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll systems
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for 15+ clients
- Manage sales tax filings and compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Oversee bank reconciliations and month-end closing processes
- Implement QuickBooks cloud solutions for client accounting systems
- Collaborate with CPAs during annual audits and tax preparation
- Develop customized financial reports for business decision-making
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Proven experience with multi-state sales tax compliance
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor designation
- Exceptional attention to detail with 99.9% accuracy in reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills for financial variance analysis
