Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage daily general ledger activities and ensure accurate account reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and schedules.
- Develop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with department heads to interpret financial data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus but not mandatory.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
