Responsibilities
- Process and verify a high volume of invoices for accuracy, coding, and compliance with company policies.
- Manage and maintain vendor profiles, ensuring accurate banking information and contact details.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently and professionally.
- Review and approve expense reports submitted by employees, adhering to budgetary guidelines.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) to maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing aging reports.
- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment status and invoice inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable or General Ledger accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Index/Match) is essential.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, Oracle) is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and rectify them quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for vendor negotiations.
- Ability to work independently in a remote work environment with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
