Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile bank accounts monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll operations
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements)
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
- Manage month-end closing processes and variance analysis
- Implement and improve accounting systems and controls
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and Tennessee tax codes
- Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional certification (e.g., CPB, AIPB) preferred
