Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 clients including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis with clear commentary
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Collaborate with tax professionals to support quarterly/year-end reporting
- Implement process improvements for financial workflows using QuickBooks Online
- Lead month-end closing procedures with attention to detail and deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros)
- Proven track record of managing multi-client portfolios in public accounting or similar
- Professional certification (CPA, CB, or equivalent) preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities for client interactions
