Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial statement preparation
- Perform account reconciliations for bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts
- Process accounts payable/receivable and maintain accurate transaction records
- Support audit processes by gathering documentation and preparing schedules
- Analyze financial data trends and prepare variance reports
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks/ERP systems) for data entry and reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles and accounting cycles
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Quick learner with adaptability to new technologies and processes
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA) not required but encouraged
