Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and monthly reconciliations for 20+ client accounts
- Process complex payroll cycles and tax filings for multi-state operations
- Generate detailed financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable with net-30 and net-60 vendor relationships
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online for new client onboarding
- Coordinate annual audits and prepare supporting documentation
- Lead month-end closing processes with zero tolerance for discrepancies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years experience in full-cycle bookkeeping for SMBs
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel advanced functions
- Proven track record with multi-state payroll processing
- Strong understanding of GAAP and IRS tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in fast-paced environment
